2021 Doodlebug Reunion Date TBD
The Doodlebug Scooter is an iconic piece of Webster City history. The scooters were inexpensive post WWII transportation for the masses and built right here in Webster City. The scooters were produced from 1946-1948 by Beam Manufacturing, and originally sold for $69.95. It is estimated that of the original 40,000 scooters made, only a few hundred scooters remain today. The scooters with their snappy red paint and unique "bug" logo are now a well loved collector's item and their enthusiasts gather every year in Webster City to talk Doodlebug history, buy and sell parts, and ride! They gather every September to share their joy for these scooters and celebrate with an extended trail ride on our Boone River Trail.
